Rationalizing water consumption

Water efficiency certification, namely the certification of rational utilization efficiency of water resources, is called Rational water consumption (RWC for short), also known as "RWC certification". Because Saudi Arabia is a country with relatively poor water resources, in order to improve the local water resources and water use, the Saudi government proposed the regulations on water efficiency certification, which was implemented on January 1, 2018.

SABER certification is a compliance certification assessment plan launched in 2019 for enterprises that need to export products to Saudi Arabia, which is used for product registration, issuance and obtaining compliance CoC certificates. The products are divided into high medium low categories according to the risk. Different conformity inspection procedures are adopted and will be implemented by the recognized institutions. Since January 2020, SABS has stipulated that all categories shall be included in SABER certification.

If the products in the water efficiency control catalogue have not obtained the RWC water efficiency certificate and SABER (SC+PC) certificate, Saudi customs will not clear the customs and detain or return the products.
