State Energy Resources Conservation and Development Commission This energy efficiency regulation stipulates that sanitary products such as faucets, showers, closets and urinals must meet the CEC certification requirements when entering the California market.
[CEC Certification Process]
1. The applicant shall provide CEC certification test samples, and generally at least one well packaged sample shall be provided;
2. The laboratory receives the test sample and arranges the test;
3. There is no problem after the test, and the laboratory arranges to issue the test report;
4. After the report is completed, submit materials and reports to the CEC certification authority to apply for product registration;
5. The CEC certification authority accepts the application;
6. Registration completed.
Generally, it takes 2-3 weeks to register CEC.
DOE is the abbreviation of the U.S. Department of Energy. The certification has mandatory requirements for water saving of sanitary products such as faucets, showers, closets and urinals. Its legal basis is 10CFR429 and 10CFR430.
Regulatory requirements: All products within the scope of the regulations must submit the certificate report and compliance statement meeting the requirements of the water-saving standards within one year. Failure to do so will result in huge fines.
[DOE Certification Process]
1. The applicant shall provide DOE certification test samples. Generally, at least 2 samples in good packaging shall be provided;
2. The laboratory receives the test sample and arranges the test;
3. There is no problem after the test, and the laboratory arranges to issue the test report;
4. The report is completed and DOE registration is arranged. Only registration on DOE website can be regarded as obtaining DOE certification;
5. Registration completed.
Generally, it takes 3-4 weeks to register DOE.
