China Water Efficiency Label Application
In order to promote efficient water-saving products, improve water use efficiency, promote the progress of water-saving technology, enhance the water-saving awareness of the whole people, and promote the healthy and rapid development of China's water-saving product industry, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Water Resources, and the General Administration of Quality Inspection jointly formulated the Water Efficiency Labeling Management Measures, which will be implemented from March 1, 2018.
In accordance with the Measures for the Administration of Water Efficiency Labels (Order No. 6 of 2017 of the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Water Resources and the State Administration of Quality Supervision and Quarantine), the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Water Resources and the State Administration of Market Supervision organized the formulation of the Product Catalog of the People's Republic of China Implementing Water Efficiency Labels (the third batch) and the Rules for the Implementation of Water Efficiency Labels for Showers.
The Rules for the Implementation of Water Efficiency Labeling of Showers shall be implemented from July 1, 2022. For products manufactured or imported before July 1, 2022, the application of water efficiency labeling can be delayed to July 1, 2023.
